Does Claire's Makeup Give You Cancer

The FDA released a warning to parents about cancer-causing asbestos found in three Claire's cosmetic products marketed towards children

The FDA warns parents not to buy Claire'due south cosmetics for their children later on the shop's products reportedly tested positive for asbestos.

The FDA requests that Claire's think the Claire's Center Shadows (Batch No/Lot No: 08/17), Claire'due south Meaty Powder (Batch No/Lot No: 07/fifteen) and Claire's Contour Palette (Batch No/Lot No: 04/17).

Claire's says the most recent tests conducted past the FDA show "significant errors" because the bureau "mischaracterized fibers in the products as asbestos, in direct contradiction to established EPA and USP criterion for classifying asbestos fibers."

Though the company says they made efforts to discuss these contradictions with the FDA, Claire'due south claims the FDA insisted on moving forward with releasing the alert. "We are disappointed that the FDA has taken this footstep, and we will continue to work with them to demonstrate the safety of our products," Claire'south said.
